Foundation Skills in Business, Retail Administration and Enterprise

Course Outline

This 1-year course is aimed at students of 16 and over. It provides opportunities to enhance your work skills as well as explore and develop work related opportunities. It will enable you to improve individual, teamwork and entrepreneurial skills.

Entry requirements

You must be 16 years or over and committed to the course. You will be invited to attend an informal interview.

What will I study?

You will cover a Business Curriculum, which includes, Communication Skills, Numeracy Skills, Information Technology and Wider Key Skills. Additional Curriculum choices include Duke of Edinburgh Award, Catering, Construction Crafts, Hairdressing and Health & Social Care.

How will I be assessed?

You will participate in a period of initial assessment, and your work will be assessed by a range of methods, which may include portfolios, observation and tests.

Career Opportunities & Progression

After successful completion of this course you may progress onto higher level courses.
