Work in photography should form a means of personal enquiry and expression and involve selection and manipulation of images. You will be encouraged to use creative approaches, which go beyond mere observation and recording.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements, however students need to be enthusiastic, have an SLR camera and be prepared to produce additional work outside of college time.

What will I study?

AS: consists of 2 units; one unit of course work and one externally set assignment A2: consists of 2 units; one unit of coursework and one externally set assignment. The uses of light; Film types; Film speeds; Viewpoints; Composition; Depth of field; Darkroom techniques.

How will I be assessed?

All units are internally assessed and externally moderated.
