Hairdressing NVQ Level 3 & Customer Service NVQ Level 3

Course Outline

This 1-year course includes all aspects of advanced practical hairdressing services. The theoretical underpinning knowledge will equip you for employment in all areas of the profession. The course is also aimed at stylists technicians, salon managers.

Entry requirements

You will require NVQ level 2 Hairdressing or equivalent, be invited for an interview and a professional skills assessment.

What will I study?

You will study: Style & Dress Hair to Achieve a Variety of Creative Hairdressing; Colour Correction; Long Hair; Innovative Cutting Techniques; Advanced Client Care and Consultation Services.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed by practical observations in a realistic environment on paying clients, through assignment work, which will include oral and written questions. A portfolio of evidence is required to complete the course and support assessments.

Career Opportunities & Progression

After successful completion of this course you could seek employment as a senior stylist, educators for manufacturers, demonstrators, exhibitions and TV work, specialist hair colourists or technicians.
