Foundation Degree Business Management

Course Outline

This course is ideal for those wishing to move into a career in management and business and is designed to provide an understanding of the nature of organisations, their management and the changing external environment in which they operate. This is a flexible part-time course designed to develop knowledge, skills and competencies which will enable students to pursue a career in management. It provides successful candidates with a broad based business qualification. *This course is offered by Universities Heads of the Valleys Institute (UHOVI), a strategic partnership between the University of Glamorgan and University of Wales, Newport. It is supported by the European Social Fund and is subject to validation.

Entry requirements

Mature students over the age of 21 need no formal entry qualifications. Students under 21 require 1 A level or a level 3 qualification.

What will I study?

You will study the following modules: Live Project; Employment Experience and Reflecting on Practice.

How will I be assessed?

You are assessed through both individual and group assignments, written examinations and oral presentations.

Career Opportunities & Progression

Many of our Foundation Degree graduates progress to the part-time Honours Degree Award.
