Beginners Art Level 1 (ROUTE C)

Course Outline

The course offers OCN qualifications in: Drawing mark making introduction; Art & Design - Drawing studies Still life; Art & Design - Drawing studies set brief; Collage Techniques and Art & Design - Drawing project, Life Studies.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

What will I study?

You will study the basics of drawing techniques, which include mark making, still life, life drawing, drawing to a set brief, and collage techniques.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed by your tutor on your work on an ongoing basis. There will be no examinations, just continual support and guidance. You will need to produce a portfolio of your work which will be externally assessed and when satisfactory will be accredited with an OCN qualification.

Career Opportunities & Progression

On successful completion of this course you could progress to Level 2 OCN (Route D).

Term 1 - 30 hours (1 session per week, over 10 ? 12 weeks) Term 2 - 30 hours (1 session per week, over 10 ? 12 weeks) Term 3 - 30 hours (1 session per week, over 10 ? 12 weeks)
