The course offers OCN qualifications in: ? Searching online ? Acquiring certificates of BMD ? Storing information collected ? Storing your photographs ? Printing your family tree

Entry requirements

There are no qualifications required for this course.

What will I study?

You will study basic searching online of census and parish records. How to store your information to PC software, scanning and storing documents and photographs.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed by the tutor on your work on an ongoing basis. There will be no examinations, just ongoing support and guidance. You will need to produce a portfolio of your work that will be externally assessed and when satisfactory will be accredited with an OCN qualification.

On completion of this course you can progress to Level 2 OCN.
